Syncapse Platform Adds Support for Content Categorization and More with Release of 4.1 Syncapse Platform 4.1 introduces new editing features that provide added reporting capabilities and flexibility for our customers while ensuring compliance to workflow. This post was written by Barbara Ott, Senior Product Manager at Syncapse. What is in 4.1? Here are some of the new features included in the 4.1 release:
· Support for Content Categorization
o Admins can create and manage specific categories for different types of content (i.e: Posts, Response, User generated content, etc)

o Editors and community managers will be able to categorize newly created content

o Analytics can run reports on these specific categorizations
· Ability for a Company to use the Platform to track the creation and approval of any content currently unsupported by the Platform (ex: Starring and Pinning of Facebook content)
o Although the final publishing step happens outside of the Platform, all the content management and workflow approvals are tracked and stored for necessary compliance
· For published YouTube posts, editors can now modify the meta data for these posts (i.e: Category, privacy settings, title, description) without first unpublishing the content. When the changes are approved via Workflow and published, the old meta data is replaced with the new meta data
o Metrics will be unaffected

· The Platform now supports the Bud.URL URL Shortener
o Admins can configure multiple bud.url services

o Editors can choose from the list of bud.url services when shortening a URL
o Analytics will now present data from bud.url
· Respond allows users to include shortened URLs with Responses, which will be tracked by Analytics

· Ability for an Editor to set an Unpublish date. This is especially handy for YouTube videos with a copyright restriction

o Can be set to either manual or automatic unpublishing
§ If it is set to manual, the publisher will be notified 72, 48 and 24 hours before the content is scheduled to be unpublished. The Publisher will then need to manually unpublish the content
§ If it is set to automatic, the Platform will automatically unpublish the content and notify the Editor and Publisher
· Ability for the Company Admin to create Roles with specific Admin permissions
o These roles can be assigned to a User or User Group
We have also improved the capability of the Platform:
· All Facebook content created by the Syncapse Platform now supports Facebook Sharing
o This fixes a key Support issue
